Sometimes you want to disable ports on a (san, fc) fibre channel switch.
Since most HPE / Dell are based on Broccade technology you can use the following commands:
portcfgpersistentdisable: disabled until you enable them again, even on reboots of powerloss. Example: portcfgpersistantdisable 0-47 (this disables all ports from 0 till 47.
portdisable: temporary disabled untill reboot or power loss.
you dont need to save, the switch does that automatically.
